My invite says it timed out
Invites last 48 hours. Ask your friend to send a new link: they can do it from their waiting room in the app.
It says the bet is full
Bets are one-on-one, and someone else has already joined that one. You can start your own bet instead.
The invite link doesn’t open the app
Check that BURNITERR is installed, then tap Open in BURNITERR on the invite page. Or open the app, tap I have an invite, and type the 6-letter code.
How is the winner decided?
By the biggest share of body weight lost, or the most kg if you picked that when you set up the bet. It’s worked out on our server, the same for both of you.
Who sees my weight?
Only you, unless you choose otherwise. By default your friend sees your progress in %. You can change it any time in the app.
What if I miss a weigh-in?
No penalty. Weigh in when you can. Your streak starts again.
What if my friend never sends a final weight?
Final weigh-ins close 24 hours after the last day. Whoever is missing counts with their last weigh-in.
Is there real money involved?
Never. Stakes are for fun: dinner, a dare, or bragging rights.
Can I be in two bets at once?
Not yet: one bet at a time. When it’s over, start the next one.
How do I delete my account?
In the app: Profile → Settings → Delete account. Everything is deleted from your phone and from our server.
Is this medical advice?
No. BURNITERR is a game between friends. Talk to a professional before big changes to your weight.
