The short version

BURNITERR is a friendly game. Be kind, be honest with your weigh-ins, and look after yourself. Stakes are for fun, never money.

Who can use BURNITERR

You must be 18 or older. One account per person, and keep your sign-in to yourself.

Fun stakes only

A bet’s stake is a promise between friends, like dinner or a dare. BURNITERR never handles money, doesn’t enforce stakes, and must not be used to gamble money or anything of real value.

Your health comes first

  • BURNITERR doesn’t give medical advice. Talk to a doctor or another professional before big changes to your weight, diet or exercise.
  • Goals and pace are kept within healthy limits, but you know your body best. Stop and get help if something feels wrong.
  • Please don’t use BURNITERR without your doctor’s OK if you’re pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have or have had an eating disorder.

Play fair and be kind

  • Weigh in honestly. Results are decided on our server from the weigh-ins you both send, and are final.
  • No offensive, hateful or sexual stakes, no harassment, and nothing illegal.
  • You can report a bet from its details page. We may remove content, and suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

Your content

What you write and add (your name, stakes, photos) stays yours. You let us store it and show it to the friend you bet with, so the game works.

The service

We work hard to keep BURNITERR running and your data safe, but it’s provided “as is”, and features may change. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect losses, or for what happens between friends over a stake. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law.

Apple

These terms are between you and 8dilation, not Apple. Apple isn’t responsible for BURNITERR or its support. Apple’s standard licence terms for App Store apps also apply.

Ending

You can delete your account at any time in Profile → Settings. See the privacy policy for what happens to your data.

Changes and contact
